Bobby Jones’ legacy remains as powerful as ever. It is still making a difference in many lives.
- In 1955, the USGA established the Bob Jones Award, the association's highest honor, to recognize distinguished sportsmanship in golf. Some of the winners of the Bob Jones Award have been Francis Ouimet, Babe Zaharias, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope, Tom Watson, Ben Crenshaw, George H. W. Bush, Annika Sorenstam, Davis Love III, Payne Stewart, Lee Elder.
- A Robert Tyre Jones, Jr. Scholarship Program was begun in 1976 and is ongoing today. Each year, four scholars from Atlanta’s Emory University and The University of St Andrews in Scotland are named and participate in an exchange.
- Independent of the Emory program, the Canadian Robert T. Jones, Jr., Scholarship exchanges four students between the University of Western Ontario and the University of St Andrews.
- The United States Postal Service honored Jones three times. A post office named Calamity Jane was established just for the 1976 U.S. Open at Atlanta Athletic Club. Commemorative stamps were issued in 1981 and 1998.
- The Bobby Jones Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation (Bobby Jones CSF) raises awareness of these diseases and supports worldwide medical research searching for a cure.

- Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia, where Bobby Jones is buried, and thousands of golfers visit each year, leaving a golf ball on his gravesite.
